Superstore's power was out so I went across the street to Fresh Co &look what they've got, the real cottage cheese! Also, why can't I find a giant jar of pitted olives anywhere? fresh co had almost everything I needed. I needed big jars! I should have started there! Sorry. I'll do better next time 😅

Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

It's clear to me that everyone is being very precise with their language. And when someone is trying to build pathways that don't lead to decarbonization, then we're not sharing the same goal.

Observation: throughout the Summit, BC Hydro, Indigenous leaders, and, well, everybody was talking about net zero, 100% renewables, etc. It was very consistent.

Not Fortis. "Lower carbon" was their framing.

These things are not the same, and we should not accept that as a goal. "Lower" is too high

This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.

Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.
