I think this is completely fair. They.don't *have* to sign the paperwork, they can continue to starve because of the consequences of their own voting. But if they want to not starve then they have to admit their starvation was their own fault and ensure they can't ever shoot their own foot again

Near the end of his life he had a parole hearing but it failed because the judge ordered him to doff his cap and he would not, so he died in prison, and then was buried in a deconsecrated church cemetery because he feared if he was buried in a Jewish cemetery it would be desecrated by his enemies.

The best theological argument I have heard against Zionism is that in the Bible, whenever the people Israel are like “we want to be like all of the other nations around us,” it is treated as a bad thing. The Bible repeats that we are supposed to be better than this over and over again.

honestly, I don’t put much stock in the traditional theological arguments against Zionism like “what about the three oaths” or whatever because those are a late midrash which is easily argued against - they’re conditional on the gentiles not oppressing us too badly so with the shoah they’re moot.

it’s funny that so many antisemites think Zionism “means Jews are superior to everyone else” when actually that’s exactly the opposite of what it means. The foundation of Zionism is that Jews are exactly the same as everybody else, and THAT is its contradiction with traditional Jewish practice
