This is evil and awful and trans people everywhere deserve better than what's happening right now.

And I think it's impossible to overtstate the pivotal role that JK Rowling played in mainstreaming hateful and false ideas about trans people. Every dollar you give her goes toward efforts like this.

I've had people come up to me at conventions saying they found my work through Pinterest (I've never posted there) and while I haven't minded people sharing my work there in the past please uh, do not do that going forward (for me or any other creator). This sucks.

I find it so egregious that Pinterest uses imagery on its site to train GenAi models. Imagery they do not own, and for the most part, is uploaded by third party users without the consent of creators.

okay but every fucking company that dropped anything remotely "DEI" so fast without any actual impetus to do so, preemptively for laws that were never going to be upheld because they weren't constitutional, needs to be fucking dragged into the street and stomped on forever

For over a year, we have sent eSIMs every day, from our bed, from the toilet, in the hospital, while waiting for the bus. With over 160+ volunteers, we have sent over 18,000 eSIMs and kept several thousand active continuously, some for over half a year, totalling more than 41,000 eSIMs and top ups. Thanks to all of your donations, we raised over two million dollars CAD and spent over two million dollars CAD on a rough estimate of 600,000 gigabytes of data, in support of Connecting Humanity and Gazans on the ground. • disabilityvisibilityproject.com With keeping eSIMs active for this long, and Canadian-US exchange rate at a disadvantage due to, among other reasons, the Trump candidacy, our spending has ballooned while donations have dropped. I used to work for an elected official as the person who answered their emails. I can tell you from personal experience, if even twenty or thirty people all call an official in a day, they start panicking. This stuff does help.
