Vonnegut is one of those authors whose contributions to both literature and American culture are innumerable, and now his estate is at the center of a push to maintain the freedom to read. A group of best-selling authors, Utah students, the ACLU, and Kurt Vonnegut’s estate represented by his four children, are suing state officials in Utah over their book banning legislation.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

The public deserves full transparency about every ICE agent, including their identities, backgrounds, and training. Recent events suggest these agents lack even the basic professional standards expected of law-enforcement officers. Who are these amateurs terrorizing our streets?
