Just another introvert. I do not create art myself, so often repost something I love. Games/music/art - prefer indies. He/him.

If ai bros start flooding bsky the best thing to do is not respond to their posts. Just block. I've learned it's pointless to debate them.

The best thing to do is suffocate them by ignoring.

They are lazy and want instant gratification that's why they use ai..don't give the satisfaction.

Bluesky Christmas magic!

In a hole in the ground there lived a fremen. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of sandworms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a fremen-hole, and that means comfort.
"This story doesn't need a sandworm"

This is almost always wrong. Arguably, EVERY story benefits from adding a huge subterranean worm with quasi-mystical or semi-supernatural powers, or equivalent (similar to Moby Dick).

Obviously the bigger the worm, the more literary quality it adds.

The most annoying thing about genAI is that eventually the genAI proponents are going to get to the end of the novelty of it, realize its limitations, and then claim to be the innovators of doing things the long way without genAI. Call it "slow productivity" or something.

“Quite soon,” said Frog.

there's a moment in PARADISE LOST where Satan arrives in Eden and realizes Hell isn't a place; it's a thing he carries within him and it'll follow him wherever he goes. and i think about that when i see these awful rich men whose monstrous wealth has enriched them not at all

Great movie, sure, but for me The Hero remains unsurpassed. Watching CTHD after it was a bit underwhelming.
watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

this movie is so good holy shit?
I love Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh 🥹

@joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social recently did a great story about kids in museums that reminds me of this comic. His specials on YT are always fun to watch.

Nothing fills me with a sense of dread quite like the work of artist Chris Van Allsburg. When I was very young, his illustrations terrified me just as much as the ones in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, but in a way I didn't even have words to describe yet. He was liminal before liminal was cool
