I dug into the only US source cited by Randy Barnett & Ilan Wurman for their theory - against birthright citizenship - in @nytimes @nytopinion:

This is like wanting to do your homework but your teacher is drunk
Firing the enforcement ppl is a really big tell.

CBO estimates that each dollar spent on enforcement (mostly wages) yields $6 to $9 in avoided taxes.

Cutting enforcement is one of the biggest deficit-raising acts one can do.

I know the Trump goons think this is some clever mafia tactic but it's really putting a bunch of sharks in front of their shark peers to see who is going to be the historic chump, the gutless loser, the sniveling weasel with no principles who is so gullible they think they'll get rewarded for it.
Strong rumor with credible sourcing: DOJ has put all of public integrity line attorneys in a room and told them they have an hour for someone to choose who will sign motion to dismiss and if nobody does, they will all be fired. The nastiest strong-arming in DOJ history by a long shot.

How much a senior on Social Security gets a day: $65

Guess which budget Musk and Trump want to cut?

Given that "bias" and "inclusion" are statistics words and "privilege" is a very important IT security word, I expect the results of purging all documents containing those words from the NSA are absolutely glorious in the worst way possible.
