This was excellent. I even had feelings towards the end.
This week’s episode is an interview with two lawyers who represent Leqaa Kordia, a young Palestinian woman who is in ICE detention for protesting genocide.

I have been a longtime critic of legal podcasts. I think many have only worsened our relationship with the law. But this @fivefourpod.bsky.social is the best it’s ever been done. Props to @aywarhiannon.bsky.social for producing an incredibly important pod well worth your time.

This enrages me. Honestly, you should just roll up the paper, throw it in the trash can, and join the White House Office of Communications if this is what you’re going to do these days.

I need the crit legal studies takes on the first amendment, writings from left perspective (not regular lib, left) on the first amendment, etc. Left conceptions of speech/dissent/political expression + “the law.”
DM me or reply. It’s time for me to learn how to read.

Brett Kavanaugh really put his sweaty little hot dog fingers on the keyboard to do explicitly racist adjudication and *he didn’t even have to*
This week’s episode is Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo, where the Court allowed ICE to do a little bit of racial discrimination as a treat.

Something to really underscore here: again, Qatar hosts the U.S. military’s CENTCOM. 1000s of U.S. troops are stationed there, Qatar is one of the richest countries in the world, Qatar hosts and works with every major western corporation and more—none of this protected Qatar from being bombed
