There's a strange idea among moderates that radicals take far left positions for the vibes, or to posture, or just because they're radical position. We take these stances because we want a livable planet, we want people to have good lives, and because in many cases they're winning positions.

Trans people just want the right to exist safely as their true selves, like everyone else.

But they’ve become easy scapegoats for the GOP, who vilify them and threaten to criminalize their very existence.

It's straight from the authoritarian playbook.

The Founders put ‘advice and consent’ in the Constitution for a reason. They wanted Senators to have oversight over Cabinet picks of a President to ensure that they were properly vetted. Winning an election 49.89%-48.24 doesn’t dispense with that constitutional responsibility.
