Five Democratic state legislators were denied entry to Florida’s new immigration “detention center” deep in the Everglades known as “Alligator Alcatraz.”

Big news a few wks back when 4 Paul Weiss partners annc'd they were leaving to form a new firm. At least 6 more PW attys have left since (3 partners/3 assoc) & the new firm now estimates ~19 PW attys have/will be joining. That's...a lot. If anyone's doing a costs-of-capitulation study, I'm all ears.

The Senate Finance Committee proposal doesn’t meaningfully improve the elements of the House bill that would cause some 16 million people to be uninsured & unable to afford needed care.

In fact, in several ways the Senate proposal is worse. ⬇️ www.cbpp.org/blog/trackin...

This is well stated. Mike Lee will forever be associated in my mind with his unbelievably cruel and stupid tweets about the Hortman assassination. He is a disgrace to the Senate and Utah.
A top staffer to Sen. Tina Smith emailed Sen. Mike Lee’s top staffers on Monday about “how much additional pain you’ve caused on an unspeakably horrific weekend”
