Chimney swifts are one of my favourite birds. I used to count them for a citizen science project. I made some prints of a nesting swift and they're up for sale now in my shop! Limited edition of 30.

Chimney swifts are small swallow-like birds with large eyes and a small down curved beak. They have pointed wings and a short squat tail. They resemble flying cigars and spend most of their time on the wing catching insects. Once they nested in big hollow dead trees, but now they've adapted to roost and nest in chimneys. Three of my chimney swift linocut prints fanned out on my table. Prints are done with black ink on an off-white paper
