As usual, the story here isn't about "divides" or cosmopolitan elites looking down on rural populations. It is about radicalization. This woman wants violent vengeance for things that did not happen.

Yes, ICE is struggling to recruit and dropping standards. But the abuses we've seen on the streets are coming from long-serving agents. Jonathan Ross was a 10-year ICE veteran and a firearms instructor. The problem with ICE isn't J6ers. It's with the agency itself, and the people directing it. 6/

I mean it's true. They do not oppose social programs because they don't like paying taxes (though they don't like paying taxes) but because they oppose social programs from first principles. A social safety net makes it harder for them to exploit, enslave and rape people bsky.app/profile/gbaj...

In any event, if they don’t do the unequivocally correct thing and say “abolish ICE,” the win will come to their primary challenger, and therefore to what remains of democracy.
