a hot take that i genuinely hold is that relationships (romantic or otherwise) are to a large extent a numbers game and you do need to learn to accept that. you won't form a lasting bond with the vast majority of people you meet so to some extent you do kinda just have to keep rolling the dice.

everything this guy says is 100% spot on in my experience. i used to co-run a household of 4 (me, my ex, and 2 kids) and our whole 15 year marriage was spent in the "Valley of Death" zone he talks abt here. it felt inescapeable
This is a really good break down of why more people are poor than they think and why the official poverty line is a lie. It gives the math on why a family making $100k are living in or near poverty. You just need to get through the first few paragraphs to get to the good stuff.
