The only way I've found for a program written in the latest C++ standard to run on old Linux distributions is to target pre-C++11 ABI.

Does anyone know a better way? What even is the go-to solution here? Should I distribute libcxx*.so along with the executable?

just tried zig last week and i don't get why people are hyping it up. everything is so verbose. and why do i have to create an allocator to get command-line arguments? they're already allocated, you could just read them

This is an attempt to implement Rust-like behaviour in C++ - an object cannot be implicitly copied, it must be done explicitly through the clone() method.

Blue: Is it still on right? Green: No! The left corner escaped! After great painstaking efforts, the foxes succeed. Standing on the opposite sides of the now sheet-covered mattress, they admire the fruits of their hard work. Green: Phew! Finally! The foxes draw back in surprise as the mattress suddenly gives in under the strain of the bedsheet, folding nearly in half into a banana shape, as the corners of the mattress are pulled up by the corners of the sheet.

The upper galaxy is labelled UGC 1810 by itself, but together with its collisional partners is known as Arp 273. The overall shape of the UGC 1810 -- in particular its blue outer ring -- is likely a result of wild and violent gravitational interactions. The blue color of the outer ring at the top is caused by massive stars that are blue hot and have formed only in the past few million years. The inner part of the upper galaxy -- itself an older spiral galaxy -- appears redder and threaded with cool filamentary dust. A few bright stars appear well in the foreground, unrelated to colliding galaxies, while several far-distant galaxies are visible in the background.
