Frey’s proposed 2026 budget defunds them, but emergency housing vouchers are funded in the 2025 budget; MPHA implemented the operational needs to get vouchers out in Q3 for resident use. It’s now Q4 & sitting in CPED. 100 vouchers could be in use right now: 50 for single residents, 50 for families.

Continues to be striking how, since Frey erected the greenway fence to Lake/Nicollet, the crowd has returned en masse to 2900 block of Blaisdell. Frey bleats “you can’t have encampments by home & businesses“ but that’s exactly where he’s pushed these folks. Meanwhile 50 housing vouchers go unfunded.

Chughtai hit Millard with the data center hammer: My opponent has publicly supported building a data center here in Ward 10. Poison our water, overburden our electric grid, devastate economy.

The amount of hate and death threats @omarfatehmn.com keeps receiving is disheartening and despicable.

Thank you @elliottpayne.org and @doronclark.bsky.social for showing our neighbors that this hate has no place in Minneapolis.

Tonight a resident posted a picture of racist and Islamaphobic language written on Johnson street that called for @omarfatehmn.com to be deported and wished death upon the Somali community. @doronclark.bsky.social and I showed up right away to get this racist garbage off of our streets

My brother died of an overdose over 15 years ago. While this wouldn't have helped in his situation, this will save the lives of others. I'm proud of whatever steps we as a city can take to help prevent the pain that my family went through.

Dear neighbor,

I’m excited to share that the City of Minneapolis has installed a new NARCAN® vending machine in Ward 9. You can find this new vending machine in Phillips at Fire Station 5 (2700 Bloomington Ave South). 1/

Literally three blocks from the house where my brother—my only sibling—died of an accidental fentanyl overdose in July 2021.

Thank you to CM Chavez and all who are dedicated to expanding his program.

Harm reduction saves lives.

I was proud to help pass the city’s budget that helped us get this going. I am specifically thankful for the work of the Minneapolis Health Department in partnership with Hennepin County and the Minneapolis Fire Department. 3/

These machines are an important aspect of addressing the opioid epidemic by increasing access to life-saving medication and reversing overdoses that disproportionately impact our neighbors in Phillips and Powderhorn. It will offer 24/7 public access. 2/

It is with much pride to announce that I have received the endorsement of the Minneapolis Federation of Educators (MFE), Local 59! As a former student of the Minneapolis Public Schools, I am honored to have the support of our incredible educators.

Tonight’s Ward 9 debate was clear. I’ll reiterate a comment I made tonight and a key difference in this race.

I’ll continue to stand with our community and Little Earth neighbors in the pursuit for the East Phillips Indoor Urban Farm.

I will not be compromising the values of our community.

Dan Orban: I find the Native community to be fun.

Just delivered a sign for someone who requested it because their landlord put up a Strahan sign. This shows the choice we have this election.

Elect someone who fights for renters who actually live here, or elect someone that voted in Ward 3 in January 2025 that’s having landlords put up his signs.
