"A document that once made me proud of all the places I’ve traveled is now a badge to prove I belong," writes columnist Laura Yuen. "It speaks volumes that a person like me is scared — somebody with so many privileges, including my perfect American English."

"Aren’t you scared, too?"
Yuen: My parents thought we had made it. Now we carry papers.
Living under ICE’s crackdown has changed how some Minnesotans of color, including U.S. citizens, move through the world.

Tech companies have been engaged in human experimentation for many years without having to pass through any form of review board.

Scientists must go through review prior to experimentation.

But Tesla tests driverless cars. Social media plays with algorithms. Etc…

It’s all human experimentation.

Robert F. Kennedy is unfit to be anywhere near issues of public health.

He should never have been confirmed, and he must be forced to resign.

Kennedy’s arrogance and stupidity is killing children.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

"Possible for billionaires to be idiots?" I am beginning to think that it is a requirement.
I’ve followed Jason for a long time and he was one of the first voices on Twitter to teach me that it’s very possible for billionaires to be idiots.

You know how I was screaming about this weeks ago? Well, they came right out and said it; the Trump admin would rather go after migrants than pedophiles, drug traffickers, and terrorists.

Funnily, Fox News is eerily silent about this. Because of course.
DHS has ordered its entire investigations division - composed of 6,000 agents - to divert focus on drug dealers, terrorists, and human traffickers and shift priority to the Trump administration’s mission of deporting immigrants

Thousands of DHS agents shift to deportation instead of drugs, weapons and human trafficking
Redeploying Homeland Security Investigations agents is part of a broader Trump effort. But some fear many serious transnational crimes will go unprobed.
