Jan. 5, 1926: Samuel Krainin goes to a Brooklyn police station to complain that an officer had drunkenly clubbed him in his glazier shop, fired a gunshot and robbed him. He picks Patrolman John Brennan out of a lineup as the culprit, and Brennan then shoots him to death.

This is even easier to go after than impoundment. There’s a far more visceral reaction to, “He’s starting a shooting war for lulz,” than there is to, “He’s spending money he’s not allowed to spend.”

Congress, when the President goes hard off the rails, you have ONE JOB.

Do it this time.
The reason you go scorched-earth on this is the same reason we should have gone scorched-earth on impoundment; you can't stop it from happening, but you absolutely need to stop it from becoming a normal part of politics. You have to draw a line.

Could someone please stop him *before* he demolishes any more buildings?
Trump is eyeing another major project in the nation’s capital, planning to destroy some 13 historic buildings on the grounds of St. Elizabeths in order to expand facilities for the Department of Homeland Security.

St. Elizabeths was designated a national landmark in 1990.

This is totally underreported. Trump is not just going after "illegals." He's going after people who were here legally, by changing their status.

These are people who entered the US the right way, and never broke a law. Now they are subject to Trump's whim, his ICE goons, and inhuman detention.
Trump has revoked legal status for at least 1.6 million immigrants over the past year by cancelling programs like TPS and student visas.

Remember: these are people who entered the country legally.

Trump never cared about “legal immigration" — just inflicting cruelty.

The idea that life would be about the same for people in America right now no matter who won the 2024 election is probably the most Caucasian thing I've ever read - and this is coming from me, a guy so white you can read by me in a dark room.
Do you think Harris would have protected trans people if she'd won?

Do you think she would have handled Gaza any differently?

Do you think she would have protected immigrants?

Life for the people who didn't vote for either candidate would be roughly the same.

And I DID vote for her, by the way.

Trump seemed to think it was pretty funny when Nancy Pelosi’s then 82-year-old husband was beaten in the head with a hammer.

He watched TV for three hours as his supporters attacked police officers and sought to lynch his VP.
