1/ Moving onto the next section *Russell’s Oligarchy of Opinion* of *The Lights of Perverted Science*, we begin by noting that the previous section’s accusation of climate change being deliberate is backed by a particular fact.
1/ Continuing the synopsis of our latest essay, *The Lights of Perverted Science*, with Section 3: *Information Arbitrage*.

As we show in earlier sections, Russell predicted that society would become an artificial creation controlled by "psychological and economic technique."

whenever i teach my STS doctoral seminar it always turns into something else over the course of the term, and this year it turned into critical histories of the US higher education system and specifically why is computer science called a "science"? what does calling it a "science" do?
This Harvard comp sci prof laments Republicans’ declining public opinion of universities and blames it on professors who, unlike him, inject politics into their classes.

As evidence of politicization, he references Google, Coinbase, Bud Light—ie not academia—and one email from one law school TA.

Incredible. The Trump administration calculated "tariff rates" by taking the US trade deficit with the respective country and dividing it by the country's exports to the US. And then the tariff rate of the US is often just set by cutting that made-up "tariff rate" in half.
