Doug Mills is one of the greatest to ever do it.

The US DOT says it's planning to prioritize areas with high marriage & high birth rates for funding.

Our new analysis @urbaninstitute.bsky.social shows this would disproportionately fund:
—Communities with a higher white resident share
—Low-density areas
—High-income areas
—Car-dependent areas
DOT’s Plan to Distribute Funding by Birth and Marriage Rates Would Leave Communities Most In Need Behind
If enacted, the new US Department of Transportation memo would prioritize funding to whiter, higher-income, more car-dependent areas over communities of color and people who walk, bike, or take public...

For all the flak George Lucas gets for his writing, pretty hard to deny the "so this is how liberty dies" line is an unfortunately spot on banger.

How is that a publication like Rolling Stone gets it right when so many other news orgs are failing at real journalism & keeping it real—and so damn obvious about it?

The spiral galaxy The Milky Way that we are in is actually one of the least likely to contain intelligent life.

The spherical galaxies are hundreds or thousands of times more likely to contain life, and in fact may be teeming with them like Star Wars or Star Trek.
