Can’t express how much I love that google maps has now integrated their shitty AI and won’t let me turn it off. Any ideas for alternatives?

Not for nothing and not claiming any special insight but one reason I think my wife and I have been together so long is we’ve normalized telling the other when one of us feels hurt by a comment or didn’t like a joke. Immediately lets the air out of the balloon and we can mend and move on.

It's about time for the Hanukkah Pastrami. Got a full brisket from the butcher, had him trim off the end for me to use as burger meat, and trim down fat cap. Then I used a variation of Ruhlman's cure and a spice combo to start corning the meat. in the fridge for at least a week. 🍽️

Had a lazy day so made some no knead bread. Fell asleep during proofing so I was sloppy with steps and time. Dad bought me a new bread knife so I wanted something to try to cut. 🍽️

Guess I'll do a thread as I remember of things I'm making. Got some chocolate cherry bread (Paul Hollywood) everyone asks for every year, some pecans for GF pecan pie, and some GF and regular pie crusts. I"ll post as I remember throughout week. Also Cranberries! 🍽️

I will no doubt read and enjoy all your very good Nuzzi jokes, but I also want to say earnestly, so many of us (myself included) are on the verge of being pushed out of this industry and it's genuinely so dispiriting to see the worst among us, ethics-wise, get such preferential treatment.
