What helped me see this recently was learning upon his death that Charlie Kirk had a large young-female fan base and that it appeared to be even Whiter than his male fan base.
If you categorize Trump supporters by sex, the female group is Whiter than the male group.
If you categorize Trump supporters by sex, the female group is Whiter than the male group.
And you might be thinking, "But Bari Weiss is editor-in-chief of CBS News and she's a woman?" Has feminism failed her? Again, this a tale as old as time. So many historical women I research had the same "Feminism for me, but not for thee" ideology.
It's always interesting to ask women who feel this way, "At what point did feminism fail women?" Because most (most) like to vote, like wearing pants, like having a credit card. Their answers are usually steeped in racism, homophobia, xenophobia, and transphobia. Feminism for me, but not for thee.

At some point we need to point out that the people identifying with Kirk and doing this are holding racist, homophobic, misogynistic beliefs.
Kirk should have been unequivocally condemned as the bigot he was.
