Been in awe of the high-caliber writing brought to bear on this hiring decision.

Um, ICE just coldly shot an unarmed PRIEST in the head w a pepper ball when he (and everyone around him) clearly posed no threat.

For the crime of … complaining about government policy.

Core 1A speech.

With cameras rolling, they’re sniping priests for sport.

I just watched a video of an ICE agent trying to find a costumed frog's rear air hole to stick pepper spray in it, and, like, why are we paying people to do this

23-year-old journalist Plestia Alaqad, like many Gazans, lost her home in the first days after October 7. unable to reenter her homeland, stuck watching the horror continue, she’s publishing her diaries from reporting on the ground.

full interview @teenvogue.com www.teenvogue.com/story/plesti...
Pic of Plestia Alaqad overlaid with text from interview: Plestia Alaqad: I can't believe that it's almost — [she pauses] no, it's not almost, it's actually two years. Okay, I can't believe that it's been two years of this ongoing genocide. When I was reporting in Gaza for 45 days, these 45 days felt like 45 years. And now it's 200 days feeling like 200 years for the people who are actually still on the ground facing bombing, displacement and starvation, which is being used as a method by Israel. Israel is literally ethnically cleansing people in Gaza, and we're watching a genocide unfold live on TV.

The digital camera thing I don't understand at all. If you want to experience old school tech, get a disposable camera or something. But this is like bringing back the iPod.

Every song by Stereolab is like:

[grooviest bloop-accented melody you've ever heard] workers must seize means of production / gorging on the blood of righteous struggle

Enjoyed both BHB and Talk to Me but kinda weird for a filmmaking duo to make ‘grievous mutilation of a child’ their signature move.

Still don't understand how these bros built huge podcasts when they were clearly born after Trump's first term.

Prominent influencers, including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Schulz, are starting to distance themselves from the president they helped propel to the White House.

There are lots of more glaring and physically brutal basic violations of rights going on but it’s weird how ICE just seems to be freely stealing and wrecking people’s possessions too

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.
