I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.
It can't. But, what DOGE accidentally revealed about themselves in the process is fascinating. 🧵

"I'm sorry we went a couple of minutes over today, but some of you come in 5-10 minutes late, so I feel like you owe me." Is that too aggressive?

1. Today the NIH director issued a new directive slashing overhead rates to 15%.
I want to provide some context on what that means and why it matters.

The Conference USA schedule is very elegantly done. Here is a graph of the teams that *don't* play each other this year. With this setup, it's impossible for more than 2 teams to go undefeated, and 8-0 team in conference is guaranteed to make the conference championship.

When including titles/abstracts in a conference program, is it okay to have LaTeX snippets? For example, "Proving \sqrt{2} is irrational".
