I think it's important to recognize that for all the dooming on here about Trump cancelling elections or whatever, the past week & a half has been nothing but a string of humiliating retreats for him.

Anything less than abolishing ICE is unacceptable. I don't want to hear people talk about training these motherfuckers or throwing more money at them. The entire institution needs to be permanently disbanded. Do not let politicians sell you on anything less.

they think they can just erase trans joy and trans freedom. they can't. they can make things a lot harder and more painful. but that joy and that freedom is not theirs to take and it is incumbent on all good people to say so.
Regarding the Gavin Newsom discourse: if you are pushing a candidate years before the primary, and ignoring the very real concerns parts of the base have with him, then the inevitable loss is on you.
