Little plastic models, model paints, and rule books make *more money than EasyJet*. And look at the success of the Basic Income for Artists scheme in Ireland: for every €1 invested in the arts the Irish govt. received €1.39 in return. But try selling that to MPs who studied Phil. Pol. and Econ.

Any investment in the arts and entertainment is a massive gaping open goal that every UK government has ignored for as long as I can remember. Just look at Games Workshop, for instance. They make almost everything in the UK and make more money alone than the *entire fishing industry combined*.

True, although the sustainability of the provision of the shiny is the problem for our current version of capitalism. My basic position is that I like nice things and I want everyone to have nice things. But convenience is a hell of a drug.

Indeed, Rillera codifies this point by calling Jesus' death a 'murder' which, under the Levitical sacrificial system, was a sin that tainted the land and thus could not be dealt with via any atoning sacrifice. This is unlike sins which only tainted the sanctuary, which could be cleansed by sacrifice

Continuing my read-through of 'The Lamb of the Free' and I find this approach to Jesus' death utterly refreshing. It has implications far beyond systematic theology.

Jesus leads the way through death and dies in solidarity with all victims of human sin.

The thing that strikes me about these stories is that they show a) yes, autism has always existed, but more importantly b) privilege and wealth allowed many to cope with their autism and be considered 'eccentric.' Many thousands of aut. people never had that opportunity. 1/

Retrospective removal of Indefinite Leave to Remain from "hundreds of thousands of people" in the Reform plans is obscene.

They talk about "preventing disruption to businesses" but have no regard for what this means for the people themselves, their families and communities which will be torn apart.

Screenshot from The Times which reads: "Zia Yusuf, Reform’s policy chief, said that his party’s changes would lead to “hundreds of thousands of people having to apply [for] and ultimately losing their settled status in the UK” on a staggered basis to prevent disruption to businesses.

Writing in The Daily Telegraph, Yusuf said: “Many of those who will lose their leave to remain are entirely dependent on the welfare state and will leave voluntarily upon losing access to benefits. Those that don’t will be subject to immigration enforcement as part of our mass deportation programme.”
