Some lovely photos by @thoughty.bsky.social taken with a 1950 Welmy 6X6 from Japan. Bright colors on the Portra 160 with lively scans by @thedarkroomlab.bsky.social

Not great cosmetically, but this 75 year old camera still works!

I do enjoy a good rocky shore. Great way to twist an ankle, but at least there's no sand in your shoes.

- no billionaires

I have so many more I could go on for pages
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

My new DSLR scanning process is pretty quick and easy. Now I've got to go back and scan a ton of old color negatives to see how well the Cinestill CS+ plugin works for me.

Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

Anybody in Pittsburgh do 20th century historical dress and want some free portraits? I'm looking for folks to model some of the cameras in my collection, and they range from 1905 to 1975.

A seagull resting on the rocky shore at Acadia National Park. Since this is 4x5, the bird is big enough on the negative to nearly fill the frame on 35mm. Shot with the 1850 Petzval lens on a Speed Graphic.

Spent the day developing my large format black and whites from my trip to Maine. Two film holders remain still, which should contain the most interesting shots. Learning some lessons still: I need to label the film holders, and I need to check some of them for leaks.

Sunrise at Acadia National Park last week. I was there to shoot film, but still took some pictures with the DSLR. Looking forward to developing these rolls a lot!

Shot it on 35mm in the K1000 and 120 in the 6x7.
