Now I'm a rap a rhyme with the greatest of ease.
And swing it like the man on the flying trapeze.
And if you don't like it you grab on these.
And now I need some help from the maestro please.

We are a nation in decline. And it began when we allowed kids to call biopics "bi-opics" rather than "bio-pics."

We invent categories all the time to explain patterns. Doesn't mean they aren't useful or real.
Not only are generations fake, they’re also something we basically invented a few decades ago. Compare when generations occurred (shaded areas) with when we settled on their names.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

I can't comment on the historical accuracy of the new transfer, but something that most cinephiles have a hard time grappling with is that when films are released, there is infinite variations from theater to theater...
turning a big dial taht says "Teal & Orange" on it and constantly looking back at the audience for approval like a contestant on the price is right

something i'll note is that if nuzzi ran catch-and-kill ops for rfk jr and lizza knew this prior to him being appointed as HHS, and instead of telling anyone, he decided to save it for his substack long after rfk jr had made communicable disease into federal policy, that's completely fucked

How does an amazing Congressional candidate like @bethmacy.bsky.social only have a few hundred followers??

Can we get her to 10k by Thanksgiving?
Beth Macy never thought she would run for Congress. But she knows democracy is on the line and couldn't resist the pleas of those who believe she's the only candidate who can beat the awful Ben Cline.

And if she flips this red seat in western Virginia, no more Speaker Johnson.

I think a lot about that moment in Murakami's NOVELIST AS VOCATION, where he admits that even his best books are uneven, but that the bad parts of these books make the good parts seem that much more impressive in comparison.

Mixtapes given to one's romantic interests or received from suitors had strange titles like (as pictured here) "Psychomorph," "Andrea's Hostage Tape," "The Moo Tape," and "Don't Lose Your Temper," because everyone had to act somewhat disinterested.
