Israel will be abandoned if they get in Trump’s way. open.substack.com/pub/theopens...
Israel is not safe from Trump's abandonment
What makes Israel different in the mind of Trump: nothing.

Read my guest column for The Daily Tarheel, where I explain why Mark Robinsons complete failure of a campaign should make Democrats optimistic:

#ncpol

www.dailytarheel.com/article/2025...
Op-ed: Robinson’s failed campaign should give Democrats hope
"Although Donald Trump and several Republicans in the state won their elections, the destruction of Robinson’s political aspirations represented a win of its own."

If feeding & vaccinating poor, sick children around the world is waste, so is funding Israel. Israel is also in a much better situation than before, meaning they don’t need our taxpayer funding as much. Don’t blame me: blame Trump/Musk’s standards

The reasons for funding Israel are diminishing
I'm starting to see it now.

Trump a week ago: “We’re gonna clear out Gaza for Israel”

Trump a few days ago: “We’re gonna clear out Gaza for ourselves”

Trump now: “Israel is gonna clear out Gaza for us!”

It really makes you think: Trump has no clue what’s going on here.

Trump: "Well it doesn't, but they get it very easily."

It seems Musk hired a bunch of no-name, no-face neo-Nazi’s from Twitter to destroy the “criminal” organization that partially funds his companies. Seems like a move fitting for a true genius. www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...

Trump’s plan for Gaza is egregiously stupid. Zionists should know better. open.substack.com/pub/theopens...

Think about why Joe Biden and other past presidents couldn't have simply done whatever they wanted, regardless of laws and the Constitution. It wasn't because they were all good guys, deeply respectful of institutions. It's because EVERYONE WOULD HAVE FREAKED OUT.

The QAnon folks were all just projecting.

Nah saying something WILL happen later doesn't get through to low info voters. They hear that claim all the time from both sides and are distrustful and suspicious of it. In contrast to Egg Cost Too Much, which is self-evident and indisputable and happening already.

Again, this is stupid. But,
I think if you get up and say "musk is going to kill your grandpa (by cutting his social security or Medicaid or whatever)" even the densest of norming will at least perk up

The type of persuadable normie who decides elections in America does not know anything about how the federal government works but DOES know that eggs costing a lot represents a self-evident, ipso-facto failure of the government. That's really stupid and bad but it's the reality.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump are taking funding from poor, dying children around the world so their tax rate can be lowered. Sounds bad to me. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/05/o...

Democratic leaders whine about what will happen if Trump does something bad, but when he fails or lies they allow his supporters to say it was all part of the plan.

Dems are then left trying to explain how he was lying but how if he didn’t it’d be bad, using abstractions and counterfactuals.

An optimistic note:

While the short term effects are bad, it’s actually good the current Admin is using executive orders and particular unethical/criminal behavior— errors easy for the next Democrat to correct. If Dems take Congress in 2026, they can ensure accountability!

tapping the "Elon Musk's actual area of expertise isn't engineering, business or technology but bad faith abuse of the legal system" sign
this agreement says the employee waives any claim he might have stemming from his employment OR the deferred resignation offer itself, which to me reads like they're saying that if you sign it, you waive your ability to sue them if they breach it
Federal employees have received a copy of the deferred resignation agreement.

Contains a lot of brow-raising lines such as, "Employee waives any claim that could be brought on Employee’s behalf by another entity, including Employee’s labor union."
