Really love Schaffenberger's work. I always got a kick out of a (silly) tale he drew in Superman #126, where Superman was pranking Lois (by means of teaching her a lesson for bad behavior) and purported to reveal his secret identity--he pulled off a Superman mask and was Alfred E. Neuman underneath!

To continue... In addition to those Dems who voted to straight-up table impeachment, there were 47 more Dems who voted "present," which is essentially the same as voting to table.

Donner adapted an American classic of the page into an instant American classic of the screen; the film's poster artwork didn't even use its title, just the Superman emblem--everyone knew what that meant.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN has been with me since I was a wee tyke and I saw it a lot in my younger days, going so far back I don't even clearly remember. I grew up a Mel Brooks devotee, and this and BLAZING SADDLES--made the same year!--were the cream of the crop.

With YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, Brooks, Gene Wilder & co. created not only an hysterically funny comedy that has kept people laughing on its own terms for 5+ decades now but a worthy successor, a loving homage and, for all its craziness, a respectful conclusion to the classics of the '30s and '40s.

Yep, it's the same foul filth they've spewed for years as rationale for interfering in local primaries all over the U.S.--and with progressives perpetually defined as those "persons who can't win."

Sanders probably would have won. And you're correct that by the logic of the superdelegate system, they should have made Sanders the nominee. But that would be morally reprehensible and--maybe more to the point--politically impossible. If something like that happened, the party would implode.

I recognize that caucuses are sometimes the best way to go but I'm not generally a fan of them. They often fall into this category, as discussed in the article:

I've been pitching the idea of a Tigra movie for many years. Probably never happen. Of course, I said the same thing about bringing the She-Hulk to the screen. That finally happened but the way it turned out, it would have been better if it hadn't.

For someone who wanted to make an off-beat, quirky, even ambitiously weird, if-done-right-not-like-any-other comic-book movie, Tigra -- here from Marvel Chillers #3 -- would be a great character to adapt.

By this point, the once-mighty Universal horror machine was well into b-moviedom and getting pretty ragged. Though a box-office hit, HOUSE OF DRACULA was the end of the line for it.

This was the 3rd of Universal's "monster mash" flicks, crossovers between their headline horror characters. Lon Chaney Jr. returned as the Wolf Man, John Carradine as Dracula and Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein's monster.

Shortly before Biden's exit, Harris' favorability average stood at 38.3%. That's almost entirely down to association with the Biden regime--as VP, she'd been mostly out of sight and mind for years. This, meanwhile, is where Biden stood--disliked by most Americans since only a few months in.

Marvel tried to lure Santos away to do Conan at one point but he turned them down and stuck with Western, where, among other things, he was also doing 2 different Conan-inspired barbarian books he, himself, had co-created with Glut--Dagar and Tragg.

Santos was a great artist, who had a style very different from pretty much anyone else working in comics, and should be much better-known than he is.
