Film’s greatest love story. Franco made over a hundred films with Lina Romay and the two were together until her death in 2012. Franco himself passed away just a little over a year later in 2013. #FrancoFriday

Hey, it's #FrancoFriday! Impossibly beautiful Brigitte Lahaie contemplating wicked things in Franco's "Je Brule de Partout" (1979).

Faceless. 1987. Franco's Christmas film whisks us to Noël in Paris and exhumes his Orloff roots. Macabre festive flaying with Caroline Munro appeal.

Jess Franco's Sadean billet-doux to antireligious intelligentsia LOVE LETTERS OF A PORTUGUESE NUN (1977) is never lascivious when lingering upon Maria, but sardonic, even enviously awestruck as transgression only serves to deepen her piety in a Buñuelian inversion of stubborn naïveté. #FrancoFriday

More precisely, a dictatorship--the thing Trump is building--behaves like a pack of gangsters. For the record, Trump has absolutely no authority to withhold any such funding from Indiana or any other state. He'll do it anyway, right up until he's made to stop.
The US government is now a mafia organization.

Someone REALLY needs to get on releasing those HEC RAMSEY installments. They're quite good and are sort of precursors to, many years later, a good series called PEACEMAKERS with Tom Berenger that has also not been released by anyone.
The NBC Mystery Movie (1971 to 1977) Dennis Weaver as McCloud, George Peppard as Banacek, Richard Boone as Hec Ramsey, Rock Hudson with Susan Saint James in McMillan & Wife and Peter Falk as Columbo.

Delightful dose of Corman micro budget madness. Shot in two days and bursting with quirky charm and the youthful Jack Nicholson. Deliciously daft. 1960.

This is a REALLY great movie that few seem to have seen. Kirk Douglas is a self-righteous cop carrying out a personal crusade against a back-alley abortionist--very daring subject-matter for the era--who, it soon becomes apparent, is in danger of being completely undone by that self-righteousness.
“DETECTIVE STORY” (1951) dir. William Wyler
