There is more to be 'commonly' aware of than any person can manage. Or have to. Your walk has been yours, mine has been mine. They may not have crossed let alone be the same. The common things we should have are patience, compassion and recognizing ourselves and each other as works-in-progress.

A city’s post in July on allowing corner stores and making parking optional had many comments saying council ignored the public. But then in November voters (re-)elected all candidates that supported it. One commenter ran for council to stop policies like it and lost by 27 points. So much for that.

The solution is right above us. Solar panels on existing buildings, car parks, and along highways generate clean power without sacrificing farmland or wild spaces. Let's use our built world first. #Renewables #Innovation

When supermarkets give you the option to round up your shopping "for charity" they are using your donation as a tax write-off. Just donate directly instead.

I’m going to make an end-of-year update to my Canada intercity transportation map by the end of November. Let me know what bus and rail services I’m missing or changes I should be aware of.

It’s a big country and I’ll probably miss something.

You know, I'm 70 years old, and I've been thru hell, climbed close to heaven, and touched back down here on Earth, which had everything necessary for humans to thrive. Greed has destroyed much. Maybe it's too late to save it. But we need to try.

Time and time again, families are the ones paying the price for Doug Ford's failures.

Every dollar that's handed to Conservative insiders is taken away from workers and public services.

The stuff AI "can do" is already being done more affordably and more reliably by literally any other tech *right now*. AI vendors are only "affordable" by virtue of being held up by VC firms with a shitton of money to burn because they're staffed by either actual psychopaths or chronic bag holders.

Drink all of this in and remember.
The CEOs of both Ford and Stellantis, who are there to celebrate the rollback of vehicle emissions standards (which will drive climate change), are standing right behind Trump as he makes these racist comments.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

If you run a business and get AI to design your logo, you are advertising to the World that you would prefer to have a shitty logo in order to save a few hundred quid and would be likely to cut corners elsewhere in your operation.

Not trying to burst any bubbles; but Spotify is over.

They are airing ICE recruitment ads, the CEO has been investing in military/AI tech, they barely pay their artists; sometimes a percentage of a cent per stream, they promote “fake/AI artist” playlists, and there’s major concerns about data use.

Ontario’s Conservatives are misleading you about Bill 46 and what it means for loyalty points.

With one quiet regulatory change, the Ford govt could let corporations make your points expire. I wouldn’t trust this govt to run a lemonade stand, let alone protect consumers. #onpoli
