The system Bluesky uses, where machine learning classifiers take a first pass at image classification and humans deal with any appealed labels, is the industry standard for a reason. If you think a post of yours is mislabeled, tap the label to appeal it.

This is going around again and it is not true. Like every site on the internet, Bluesky uses machine learning to do a first-pass approximation of image classification to detect and label content. They have repeatedly confirmed outside services do not use Bluesky user data to train their models.

yeah. even if AI doesn't pan out, Google will find something to do with 5x the GPU capacity they planned for. most of Google's own endogenous workload was GPU even before the advent of LLMs.

Oh ffs. I get MC emails daily for work. If you scroll down just a bit in their story on this, re “who’s responsible”, you see this graphic, showing that Dem approval of Dem members is increasing.

Ie a share of Dems believes that the party is responsible for the shutdown… and approves.

Graph showing pre- and post- shutdown favorable/unfavorables for Schumer, Jeffries, and Dems in Congress. Schumer goes from 47/20 to 53/18 pre/post, Jeffries from 47/11 to 52/11, and Dems from 80/12 to 82/13. In all cases, net favorability improved.

A life update: this wound up paying off. I'm still applying to several jobs that are hopefully careers, but I've got my survival needs covered by a job at the airport that I'm apparently pretty good at.

And instead of being in an office alone, which was driving me mad, I see 20k people a day.
