Jones: All you do is keep people fearful because you get paid 45 million a year to keep people fearful so they don’t pay attention to the CEOS taking their healthcare. You don’t care about the American people. You want them to be afraid of immigrants because all you have is fear.

He seems tired and confused. I'm not a doctor; can't speak to whether this is medication or some other condition, but it's weirdly mumbly and unfocused, even for him
hey @radiofreetom.bsky.social what do you think is going on today? Do you think it’s lack of sleep? Sense that these polls & stories of failures is getting to him? Is he have a very public emotional breakdown?

That was not my intent, as I noted later. I think of @markhertling.bsky.social as part of a small and honorable group of former senior commanders who have spoken up - and I am disturbed that there aren't more like him. The silence from people who *could* speak out, as Mark as, is unsettling.
P/S - Hertling suggested you might have been baiting him, and he suggested there are many active officers fighting behind the scenes. That gives us pedestrians some hope. If that was your objective, touchè.

Americans are realizing that unfettered federal power to detain and arrest is a very dangerous thing. I learned that lesson as a child when they put us into internment camps just for looking like the enemy. Don’t go further down this road.

This has been a completely random 45 minutes of slushy mumbling. If this were any other president, networks would be cutting *in* and covering this with doctors and experts trying to explain what they're seeing.

Federal agents are pulling over off duty cops based on the color of their skin.

This is not a serious operation to enforce immigration law. It’s a performative show of force and it’s gotten way out of hand.

Within living memory, when presidents invoked the Insurrection Act, they did so in circumstances that were extraordinary and in line with how the drastic act was intended to be used.

No such circumstances exist right now.

Perhaps America is the most powerful military in the world but power is amorphous and has a tendency to shift with technology.

Often, there are intuitive leaps in understanding the physical world. Things can change quickly. When things change, allies are often more important than self reliance.
