Kurzfilm von Jan Haft über einen der seltensten Schmetterlinge Europas, der in Deutschland durch Schafbeweidung ausgerottet wurde. Dabei nahm man eigentlich an, dass sie die Art erhalten sollte.

Die Blutweiderich-Sägehornbiene (Melitta nigricans) war bis vor wenigen Jahren in Südniedersachsen nicht nachgewiesen - wurde 2019 aber erstmals im Alten Botanischen Garten der @unigoettingen.bsky.social entdeckt.

Diese hochspezialisierte Art sammelt Pollen ausschließlich an Blutweiderich.
