Beware of your EE bill. I have been double charged for expected roaming fees. Apparently it’s a known fault, thereby in my view a fraudulent deduction from my bank. Their processes appear to try and avoid an immediate refund. Persist if this happens to you

It's stuff like this and Quibi that makes me wish that Hollywood had fewer NDAs. I'd just love to know how people get to places where they're making such obviously bad choices and why is there's never anyone in the room saying "hang on a minute, are you really sure this is a good idea?"

Many years ago we boycotted household goods from South Africa due to Apartheid. Not much but as the expression goes ‘every little helps’
Now is the time to do the same for the USA, this is slightly more difficult as so many large companies here are owned by American companies.

Trump didn’t say rare earth he said time and time again RAW EARTH, ignorance personified

Has anyone else had trouble deactivating x. I’ve even reset my password just in case I had it wrong but every time I try it says error - try later. I had deleted the app but thought I should delete the account. Could be me but🤷‍♀️

My first USA boycott- in support of normal people.

Why is anyone interested in what this disgraceful excuse of a human being even thinks. He’s only interested in screwing Joe Public
🔥

Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has just told me "Rachel Reeves has been talking rubbish all day" - the third runway at Heathrow is a "dead cat" because "she's failed to deliver any growth"

"It's clear she doesn't get business"

I had really hoped that this would bring down the newspaper (obv as a scouser I can’t name it)
Here's the grovelling Murdoch apology to Prince Harry

Absolutely not watching it - found plenty of other crap on tv which was a better watch
Why is everybody watching the inauguration? It's not a civic duty, comrades. Have a beer. Put some music on. Call someone. Don't climb into a hole before it even fucking STARTS. I'm going for some Public Enemy and a huge-arsed Malbec, cheers. x

Totally agree Reece, I’d add it to Johnson nearly died of covid to be honest.
I don’t do conspiracy theories, but that Trump assassination attempt still stinks like a 9 day old corpse.
Nothing about the reaction to this, still so fresh in the memory, rings true.
Are we meant to let such events pass us by these days, as if it were a fight over cake at the village fête?
Hmmm

One week in the life of Kemi Badenoch
She might be the single worst opposition leader we've seen in our lifetime. She makes Michael Foot look like Barack Obama.

👍
Followed you anyway, Julie. 🙂
January 12, 2025 at 12:01 PM
I’m afraid I can’t do that Reece - I’ve deleted my apps 🤦‍♀️
If I followed you over there and have not yet done so here, it’ll be because I can’t carry everyone’s name in my head or you’ve gone and changed it for BlueSky.
How about putting up a screenshot of my follow… I can then make amends. 👍
January 12, 2025 at 9:40 AM
I fully understand where you are on this. I used to follow a couple of people who I didn’t see eye to eye with for balance on the other site but they aren’t on here yet so just muddling through. I deleted the x app on my phone and iPad two days ago - feels quite liberating if I’m honest
Finally pulled the plug on X. Elon had me hovering over the unsebcribe button and then Owen Jones made me finally press it. I need some accounts to follow. People in the centre and either side. My politics are to the left but I don't want an echo chamber. Suggestions welcome.

Tory frauds, chancers and shysters… the whole pack of them.
Have some shame, man!
Here is the key section of that train wreck of an interview by Robert Jenrick on #r4today.

Robinson: Did you raise it when you were Home Office minister?

Jenrick: We talked about it... I wasn't... My portfolio... But we talked about it.

Only a minute, if you can bear it. ~AA

For everyone else who feels like they’re standing alone in a room going “UM HELLO!” I got you.

Ah but this doesn’t fit the narrative does it. The amplification of Musks views is ridiculous- what does it matter what he thinks, though every news outlet and commentators still report as though he knows what he’s talking about, which of course he doesn’t. Stop talking about him
Lots of people commenting on the
So called grooming gang issue in following some “intervention” from the USA

They might want to consider that Starmer left office as DPP with the highest conviction rate for child sexual abuse since records began
January 7, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Great idea
I'd simply repost the announcement as a straight repost of, say, a Bluesky post, with a link to that account for further details. If Twitter disables the link, that's their problem.
January 6, 2025 at 2:12 PM
Oh please no - I thought this was a safe haven from the mad right
So how long before we see Farage on Bluesky?
January 5, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Again BBC news amplifying Musks comments- why?
January 5, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Moral compass of a scorpion
Wonder if he’d say the same now.
January 5, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Totally agree
This is important & necessary. I’d add only that a) It’s clear many of the political & media figures deliberately ignoring these facts are playing with the sort of fire we saw on our streets this summer & b) Laura Kuenssberg’s failure to point this out to Farage was an appalling dereliction of duty.
Some people in recent days have alleged a ‘cover-up’ over the grooming & rape of hundreds of young girls in predominantly northern UK towns, leading to calls for a ‘national’ public inquiry into child sexual exploitation

FWIW here’s a non-exhaustive list of inquiries into #CSE in last 12 yrs…

Can you please explain Lewis why Reform are on every broadcast platform daily - disproportionate to their Mp numbers? We do appear to be servicing their narrative to those on the right

"You seem more worried about a bit of language than exposing the facts of what happened."

Speaking to @lewisgoodall.com, Reform's Richard Tice defends Elon Musk's right to call Jess Phillips a 'rape genocide apologist.'
