🚨 A new rule would let career scientists like NSF/NIH program officers be replaced by political appointees

Already 14,000+ public comments, deadline is Friday

📣 Comments can be short. Courts consider them—and scientists with NSF/NIH experience are especially impactful

Pay attention! This is an attempt to weaken the endangered species act, among other things.

It is also an effort to promote mining & oil over conservation measures and compliance.

This Admin is about billionaires, not regular citizens/patriots. Please comment!

Ironies of ironies...COP30 will meet in Brazil. At this meeting there are plans to focus on the importance of nature and land use as part of climate action. AND YET they are constructing a highway through the rainforest for COP30 transportation.

Today, a broad coalition of scientific professional societies who represent over 92,000 scientists are speaking out against the politicization and demonization of Federally funded science and government scientist jobs.

It was an honor to help the Union of Concerned Scientists with this! 🧪🌎

Just finished up a review for @amfisheriessoc.bsky.social International Fisheries Section English Editing Service. Love these opportunities to assist international scientists in getting their manuscript one step closer to getting published…plus I get to read things way out of my topic zone!

#Fishmas Day is here at last, so break out the candy canes because Day 25 is all about the stripes - the Striped Shiner (Luxilus chrysocephalus), that is!

We end this year's #GreatLakes #25DaysofFishmas by shining some light on a small fish who’s not often in the spotlight ✨

It’s #Festivus, so you know what that means - time for an Airing of Grievances about a #GreatLakes Grinch!

Goldfish (Carassius auratus) - yes, the goldfish of home aquariums worldwide - have unfortunately been an invasive species in the #GreatLakes for decades #25DaysofFishmas
