This is moronic. DOJ Tax costs $100m per year and brings in over $500m per year. But getting rid of this office and its staff will cost us more than just $400m. It's been around for over 90 years -- thats almost a century of expertise and of trust built with local communities and courts. /1

I bought this book yesterday and can't wait to read it over the holidays. After reading Dan Jones's Power and Thrones over the summer, I cannot get enough medieval history--there are so many interesting parallels and through-lines to our current cursed timeline. Also the cover is metal. ⚔️🔥⚔️
If enough of you buy the book to get it onto a bestseller list or two, I will do a sword giveaway. #oathbreakers
How about an edition that comes with an actual sword?

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.

First impression of Bluesky: Really cool to go find someone I used to find funny or insightful on twitter who is longer there, go through their follows, and reconnect with dozens of people I used to love reading tweets from who'd disappeared from my timeline.
