This is as amoral as it gets. Even more shocking is that the only dissent is KBJ.
Today's action is the single largest mass-illegalization event in US history.

350,000 people woke up this morning with legal status, living and working here with official permission. They'll go to bed as undocumented immigrants facing deportation.
BREAKING: SCOTUS allows DHS to reinstate Sec. Kristi Noem's order ending Temporary Protected Status for many Venezuelans, but notes the decision does not address challenges to actions "purport[ing] to invalidate" related legal status, work authorization documents, etc., previously granted under TPS.

So were laws broken or not? Were crimes committed or just authority exceeded?
Breaking news: A federal judge ruled the Trump administration exceeded its authority when it dismantled the U.S. Institute of Peace, an independent nonprofit created by Congress.
Judge says Trump lacked authority to dismantle U.S. Institute of Peace
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell said President Donald Trump lacked the power to terminate without cause the board of the independent U.S. Institute of Peace.

This will be the largest cut to food assistance in U.S. history.

They are LITERALLY taking food and healthcare away from people.

Period.

The basic American political reality is that blue states subsidize red states. The Trump variation is to keep collecting ever more taxes from blue states while taking away ever more services from red states. This is a gamble that voters like to suffer, or no longer matter.

DOGE is a smash and grab.

Its actions have been illegal.

Donald Trump is a convicted criminal attacking the U.S. government from within.
Reminder:
After breaking into the US Institute of Peace (USIP) Monday, DOGE members immediately got to work taking down signs to erase the independent agency.

I’m going to remind everyone, before he signs whatever he signs today, that executive orders do not create, alter or end the law, that he has been stopped hundreds of times now by the courts (including by just dropping policies quietly), and that he uses EOs to terrorize people.

RFK Jr., DOGE gutted legally required offices. Courts may undo it all.
Federal workers, Democratic lawmakers, state officials and independent legal experts say keeping offices afloat in name only – with minimal or no staff – is an unconstitutional power grab.

This means that ICE interfered with the mayor doing his job, and thereby committed a felony.
At a news conference, McIver said the lawmakers were “conducting an oversight visit” to the facility. Baraka had done nothing wrong before his arrest, she said.

“What we see here is despicable, and we should all be angry,” she said.

Menendez described Baraka’s arrest as “an act of intimidation.”
