As a total layperson it’s actually surprising to me that the cost of construction here is quoted at *only* ~4x the same square footage for an apt building. I would not have batted an eye if construction costs at the White House were, like, 10x those of normal construction!
The ballroom will cost $2,700 per square foot... to build an apartment building (which has lots and lots of plumbing) is like ~ $700 sqft ... what is he actually building?
