This is an organized terrorist attack on the federal government and its officers, and the deployment of troops is an absolute necessity to defend our personnel, our laws, our government, public order and the Republic itself.

Now I want to go historical pull tidal range data for riverine estuaries that are unaffected by hydro projects, and correlate to drought records. Any of the lower coastal plain rivers would do.

That sounds extremely plausible. Fluvial output should absolutely affect estuarine salinity.

So, it’s not an RSL drop - it’s a change in salinity. That makes a LOT more sense.

It’s just weird. There’s no isostasy that accounts for it. Or climate data. But the archaeological data is clear. Folks left the Georgia Bight coast. Then they came back. Subsistence patterns shift, then kinda shift back.

People do what they do, I guess?

With massive caveats around the fact that I generally focus on everything before the Woodland period, I’d say the documentation of subsistence here is right. The thing that troubles me, and has for a long time, is that we just can’t find a mechanism for RSL dropping after 3500 cal BP or so.
