Trying to prove theorems.

Constitutions, constitutionalism, and their comparative study fascinates me.

Utterly convinced that discretionary judicial review in the hands of judges working under a constitution that’s impossible to amend is folly.

remember, please.

the noise of evil in the world is always there.

it is noise. sometimes it is louder. sometimes less so.

but your job is to do good. be aware of the bad. but your job never, ever, changes.

do good.

I will say what Trump is doing is an example of how to get shit done quick in DC. rather than Dems and their plodding institutionalism, following all the self-imposed procedures, trying to lawsuit proof everything, and compulsively dithering in general, you just blitz hard right out of the gate

Speaking at Fed Soc, judges Neomi Rao and Kathryn Mizelle just joined a toast to the supreme court for dealing “the greatest setback to administrative power at least since 1935.” Champagne flutes were set out in advance.

This guy is innocent.

This skeet thread, reskeeted by @jdmortenson.bsky.social, is also good.
we make very real friendships, find jobs, and more on social media platforms, and it really sucks to have to leave all of that behind!

that’s why we bother with the whole “protocol” aspect of bluesky in the first place (@atproto.com) — read paul’s thoughts here, and i’m threading my own too

Okay since it’s already lively day I’m going to do a thread on one big reason why I personally bother with open protocols, and that reason is: ✨enshittification✨ 1/6
