The “target”? Didn’t live there.

I invented a new word today. "abspos". ABSolutely POSitively. I don't think anyone will ever use it, and I will probably forget it in a month. But I like it.

Quite frankly the crest vendor should not be a vendor but instead one conjoined "Gear/Crest Upgrade" UI Widget. The way that you're buying crest packs to convert into upgraded crest packs is already clunky as shit and it's another layer of complicated gearing systems that could be simplified

Phrases that remind you of perspective.

"I work in medical devices...There is a tech support department for 'patient on the table emergencies'.

"Have you tried turning it on and off again?" is totally different when "it" is currently 4 inches into the center of someone's brain."

In an encounter with a police officer, the officer has weapons, armor, radios, skills in subduing subjects, and training in deploying all of those things. The fact that such a person can feel unsafe or threatened by civilians is ponderous. Fear is a powerful narcotic.

@phokion.bsky.social I just finished Treason of Sparta. I am so happy. Arimnestos feels like a friend a this point. He feels so very real. I've been reading novels daily for 35 years and it is rare I feel the characters are so very very real. And that I feel this much affection for them. 1/n
