My vote for the most interesting player in the NHL this season is Janis/JJ Moser. Dude is having an insane season with Tampa after four prior years of quite forgettable results. He's played with a wide range of teammates at essentially top-pair minutes this year and leads the league in xEVD per EH.

Brilliant coaching - Coop knows how to maximize guys to their game, not try to be another player. Excellent scouting and a healthy team culture also help.
The Tampa Bay Lightning, who have had approximately 0 draft picks the last 5 years and a fraction of NYR's operating budget, continuously churn out minor leaguers who maximize their abilities at the NHL level.
Probably worth it for NYR to investigate why that is.
