Disability is not a moral failing. It’s not a punishment.
It’s simply part of being human. If you live long enough, you will likely experience some kind of disability. It’s one of the only minority groups you can join at any time.

The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.

For the volume of reality dating shows I watch (I know…) the one line that bothers me the most is when people say “My person” like that person is meant to fill a certain mold. I feel like so many people that are looking for a serious relationship are not open to compromise. Just an observation.

Measles has a 12% mortality rate in unvaccinated young children.
Children cannot be vaccinated until they are at least 12 months old.
And if infants need to be kept home and out of daycare to avoid potentially fatal measles outbreaks...
Guess who that removes from the workforce.

In 3 days, the number of measles cases in a highly unvaccinated area of Texas has doubled. There are now 48 cases, all of whom are unvaccinated, and 13 of whom have been hospitalized so far, for a hospitalization rate of 27%. This is huge figure in epidemiology. This outbreak will keep spreading.

With each passing day I am grateful that I pivoted away from being a booking agent... I have seen far too many people act superior, rude, and fake in that role and that's not something I ever strive to be.

So far, so good with Wellbutrin. On week 4 and am remembering my dreams every night (first time in my life) and not feeling like I’m better off not here. Happy the tides are finally turning.
