Could someone recommend some materials on Liberation Theology for me? I'm planning a lesson for my church group and want to consume a lot of information before formulating the lesson(s). Any books, articles, or learning resources would be super helpful!

And some of what gospels Jesus says is actually harmful. I highly recommend the book The Bad Jesus: The Ethics of New Testament Ethics by the late Hector Avalos, a brilliant scholar who was taken from us too soon
I legit hate the whole "if only they'd listen to Jesus" thing.

...it's not like Jesus ever gave any particularly impressive lessons regarding ethics and morality. That shit is the most basic kindergarten ethics shit you can find.1/
