Not every day I agree with Rand Paul.
Rand Paul: "When you kill someone, if you're not in a declared war, you really need to know someone's name at least. You have to accuse them of something. You have to present evidence. So all of these people have been blown up without any evidence of a crime."

Yesterday was incredible — and today, we keep organizing.

Tomorrow we're headed to the Senate and will host a teach-in about juries with @harrietsdreams.bsky.social. Tuesday, college students walk out. Later this week get trained on non-cooperation, and more. Details at FreeDCproject.org/events.

IMO many Americans don't even buy guns for personal protection or to defend themselves against a tyrannical government. They simply have a shopping addiction

The West Virginia government/lobbying groups spend hundreds of thousands (if not millions) on tourism marketing in Washington DC. TV, radio, internet, WMATA ads etc.

DMV area liberals spend millions of dollars on tourism every year in West Virginia. (Myself included).

Cold Turkey folks… ❌
Heh--of course not. That's the entire point of bullies: Their only "joy" is causing others misery *by any means necessary.*

(Now, maybe all the DC folks I know who love to visit WV or own property there may want to, I don't know, stop.)

Why can they find places to sleep for national guard troops coming from other states to occupy DC, but not for homeless ppl.

In Jan 2020, they used hotels for the guard. Will they do the same this time?

If so, why is there $ for the army to stay in hotels but not homeless ppl?

We are suing to block the federal government takeover of DC police.

By illegally declaring a takeover of MPD, the Administration is abusing its temporary, limited authority under the law.

This is the gravest threat to Home Rule DC has ever faced, and we are fighting to stop it.

Taking photos and video of law enforcement officers performing their duties in public is our constitutional right.

This includes police, FBI, National Guard troops, ICE agents, and other government officials.

DC, here are some things I saw be really effective to protect your community when under federal occupation. From a Los Angeleno with love.

First, things to know-
They are about to make up a bunch of shit to justify their existence.
Two, they are going to try and make abusive public examples.

Challenge: post your last photo taken in DC to show what a hell-hole it is.

The Administration’s actions are unprecedented, unnecessary, and unlawful.

There is no crime emergency in DC. Violent crime reached historic 30-year lows in 2024, and is down 26% so far in 2025.

We are considering all options and will do what's necessary to protect DC residents' rights and safety.

FBI agents are not trained to patrol streets. And every agent that is assigned to do that is NOT investigating:

*foreign spies stealing gov’t and trade secrets
*foreign and domestic terrorist threats
*crimes like fraud, corruption, trafficking, and violent crimes (among others)

Do you feel safer?

Trump’s mobilization of the National Guard, ICE, and FBI in D.C. has nothing to do with safety.

In fact, violent crime has hit a 30-year low in D.C.

It’s plain and simple—this is what authoritarians do.

The Trump regime is attempting to instill fear, create propaganda, and consolidate control.
Violent Crime in D.C. Hits 30 Year Low
Total violent crime for 2024 in the District of Columbia is down 35% from 2023 and is the lowest it has been in over 30 years, according to data collected by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) a...
