Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

Regarding the NATO planes scrambled yesterday and airport closures, I am fairly sickened by Romania's statement.
A Russian drone DID cross over the border. They sent jets to look, then let it cross back into Ukraine.
WTF? This isn't far off firing a projectile at Ukraine themselves.

Reminder. When the USA was attacked on 9/11 and asked its allies to stand with her in the fight against the Taliban and Al Qaeda, Denmark responded and sent troops to help. 43 Danish soldiers never came home. (more per captia than any country) They died defending America in her hour of need.

In 1862, a Union soldier found cigars wrapped in a piece of paper in a field of clover. The paper was a copy of Confederate Gen. Lee's invasion orders. The Southern sloppiness helped the Union stop Lee at Antietam.
