It is NOT an anime block. They aired western animation before, both on the OG and the revival. As Toonami was always known as an action block. It aired DC content before. People still calling it an anime block makes me concerned.

It's a shame that the other ways to watch anime are in a rerun farm that only has anime to stay alive. I think that other TV channels should air anime like Syfy and IFC again. Especially that AMC literally owns Sentai Filmworks. And that anime has been mainstream again. Plus, I think Toonami....

Toonami should not be an “exclusively anime” block, and Adult Swim should not be an “exclusively American comedies” block.

Something weird like HEN SEMI or ASTRO FIGHTER SUNRED could be entertaining, and hell, MXC would be perfect for the Adult Swim windows.

Toonami could easily go more domestic.

So…on top of the other weird stuff Cartoon Base has been caught doing, does this sound like an advertisement for ChatGPT on their part? Cuz it’s literally phrased like one, and if Cartoon Base is even tiptoeing towards endorsing A.I., that is another drastic step in the wrong direction.

As for Toonami, I think they are gonna be done with originals after Ninja Kamui's later seasons and they will just keep on airing anime from Viz and Aniplex. If only CR would just let them air their anime again.

Cartoon Network will focus on Hulu forever as their tv channel will remain as a rerun farm until it shockingly shuts down for good unless they get their act together.

Adult Swim continues being a success with it's own reception and keeps on going on HBO Max, being their second home.

The new Mutant Mayhem short looks pretty hilarious and I still love how fun these incarnations of the turtles are. If anything, it makes me curious to see them back in the sequel in a few years. Eager to see this short once it's out.

What I really like is how we have fandubs in case we want an anime in English or another language as I think that dubs are more creative as both are good.

The whole sub vs dub thing is dumb.

I actually do both.

While I take more dubs than subs, I will only take subs if:

1) There is no dub of it.

2) The dub is of poor quality and does not live up to the standards of what a dub should be.

Libs of Tiktok, Elon Musk, and Robbie Starbuck put everything they had into trying to push a boycott of Netflix over LGBTQ characters in their shows.

Netflix ignored them and the stock is back up. Turns out bots don't actually cancel accounts.
