The loveliest comic by Wendy Xu about Rose O’Neill, artist and creator of Kewpie Dolls, in the latest issue. So happy your kid loved it, too! 💕
@wendyxu.bsky.social my kid came home yesterday with a faux kewpie doll and I briefly explained kewpies. Immediately afterwards we opened up her new issue of Kazoo and saw your comic!! She loved it! We just subscribed and it was such a pleasant surprise.

Played “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” for a five year old girl, and she told me, “You know, I do”

She’s on to something! 🙌
Talking to the 5-year-old about the election tomorrow has backfired spectacularly because she asked if she gets to vote, and I explained to her that she needed to be 18, and she is now crying and vigorously arguing that you should be allowed to vote “whatever age you are”

We strongly condemn @CondéNast’s consolidation plans for Teen Vogue, a move that is clearly designed to blunt the award-winning magazine’s insightful journalism at a time when it is needed the most. More from our statement:

LOOK AT THIS INCREDIBLE POSTER!!
I wanna see wall-to-wall coverage of kids holding clever homemade signs. My 11-year-old finished hers last night, and she's excited and ready to go.

OMG, Kazoo is worth...a kazillion dollars!
Doing some back of the napkin math on the Free Press acquisition, I've determined The Onion is worth $2 trillion.

“She felt that if a rule didn’t make the world a better, fairer, more beautiful place, then it was her duty to break it” is maybe not a message you’ll find in other kids magazines, but @kazoomagazine’s comic on the Godmother of Punk, Vivienne Westwood, says all that and more. (🖍️ Katie Skelly)

Sesame Street will be putting a huge collection of episodes on YouTube starting in January 2026

This is a fantastic way to educate children

It’s a form of resistance.

Shows like Sesame Street teach love, tolerance, acceptance & more.

These lessons are crucial for the long fight ahead.

my main takeaway after spending the afternoon at the national history day competition is that the kids are pretty alright. also, that reactionaries are right to fear the consequences of kids learning the truth.
