Definitely that "if you read one thing today" item...🥰🥰👏👏
Agree 💯 and they should be asked politely to pay 0.5% of all NZ profits into Kea conservation charities.
@chrishipkins.bsky.social pls make them do it when it's your turn in charge !
In New Zealand, it should be branded as "I, KEA"

I think this is a suggestion that for some work committees are not the best 😂😂 cc @drjoeabah.bsky.social
For people venturing into IKEA, I have a failsafe process for assembling flatpack furniture.

1. Send your husband out.
2. Lay out each piece in the order you will need them.
3. Follow the instructions exactly.

(My husband has an oddly similar failsafe process.)

So there are people having a good year & then there's die hard Everton fans like @paullecomtephoto.nz

I imagine whatever else is happening they're pinching themselves regularly because their crew is *finally* playing outstanding football.

**Meanwhile nervous Arsenal & Chelsea fans rn 😬😬😭😬

Significantly better than average CoP in Belem & can say as a constituent passing thru that Dr D was putting in the work. Hope it finishes well !
Just some of the countries at COP 30. The whole world is here, bar one.

A year ago I played with exposures to see if the switch to LED lights in Ōtepoti Dunedin had made it more possible to see the Milky Way above the city lights...

A bit of exposure tomfuckery & sure enough, in August our galaxy appears horizontal & low to the horizon.

so I've seen that clip and I think Thiel was trolling the way that I troll about how the Star Wars prequels are actually about women's health. Star Wars is great fodder for revealing the things you care about. Like I think reproductive healthcare should be free; Thiel wants to put everyone in debt
they watched terminator and tried to create skynet. if their media literacy is this bad how can they handle philosophy? Peter Thiel thinks Star Wars is about how debt is good!

I was quite surprised to hear a story about nitrogen fixation when listening to the news on NPR. 🌊
Ocean plant cell discovery might revolutionize farming
A new part of an ocean plant cell has been discovered that might revolutionize farming one day. The structure can take nitrogen and convert it into the ingredient that helps all organisms grow.

It’s important to always ask yourself “why am I working so hard?” and question the tradeoffs you are making before it’s too late.

This article should be a much bigger deal for the US (and other countries).
You can't have intelligent policy or political positions on the economy if you're measuring the wrong things

Voters Were Right About the Economy. The Data Was Wrong.
Here’s why unemployment is higher, wages are lower and growth less robust than government statistics suggest.

Quite important that Canadians don't laugh too hard at the size of the very big deal that DJT has negotiated.

Unfortunately the dismemberment of USAID is likely a test run of vandalisation across the US govt.
On a space with Senator Joni Ernst and Vivek Ramaswamy, Elon Musk says he has checked with President Trump a few times to be sure about eliminating USAID, and he says that the President agrees.

Probably an expensive fortnight for the US - in a few years who's going to price US commitments on climate change as reliable after 2 treaty withdrawals ?
Once the Breach of Contract suits start flying, this whole Elon Musk impoundment debacle will end up costing billions in legal fees and awards.
