if you haven't, watch the video of Ahmed ah-Ahmed tackling and disarming one of the shooters in Australia. It's incredible. He had no experience with guns. he got shot in the arm and hand. I hope he makes a full recovery. His bravery made me teary.

My current work-in-progress: 18"x24" oil painting of a foggy, closed-in forest.
Was originally going for a darker forest but the bright mist in the distance has stuck, and it does seem to make a good contrast.
